Wednesday Prayer
As believers we must covet both the fruits and gifts of the Spirit
Galatians 5:22-24 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Just as the church must be guided by the Gifts of the Spirit, so also we must be guided by the Fruits of the Spirit. The Bible states, ‘by this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another’. The greatest between faith, hope, and love is: LOVE. We must show that we have Jesus on the inside, working on the outside.
I Corinthians 12, Romans 12, and Ephesians 4
There are different kind of gifts of the Spirit, but it is the same Spirit. We must ask God to use us in whatever area of His Spirit that He will.
Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [a]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
God desires to use our prayers as weapons of warfare. Throughout the entire Bible, one man prayed, and something happened. We must come to God believing that our prayers can do more than just make noise, it changes the atmosphere around us. We might not understand what we pray for while praying in tongues, but God does!
Allow God to use you praying in the Spirit and God will do the rest!
